Challenge
The oil-field operation in Baghdad wanted to run a high-flow (600 m³/h) RO system at high recovery. High recovery raises ion concentration on the concentrate side and therefore scale risk; reliability is critical under field conditions.
Solution
With the DERSCALANT Membrane Program, Deren Kimya modeled the water chemistry and determined the antiscalant and dosage for safe operation at 85% recovery — carrying its chemical + engineering support to an overseas site.
